The Falchion Knife cost $49–56 in a worn Safari Mesh on 9 September 2026 and $185–230 in a Factory New Fade, which makes it the cheapest knife in CS2 with a genuinely good inspect animation and the eleventh shape of twenty by floor. It dropped from its own case in 2015 and now shares a pool with four other knives, and that shared pool is most of its price story.

Falchion prices on the check-date

A Field-Tested Falchion Safari Mesh was listed from $49 on 9 September 2026, Well-Worn from $51, Battle-Scarred from $52, Minimal Wear from $56 and Factory New from $105. The Fade was $185–230 in Factory New on 101 listings, with a ninety-day range of $186–228; its all-time high was $522 on 19 April 2023 and its all-time low $125 on 24 October 2025.

The floor fell hard over the summer. A late-May 2026 roundup priced the cheapest Falchion — a Battle-Scarred Scorched — at $66.58; by our September read the Safari Mesh floor was $49, a 26% drop in fifteen weeks on a shape with no news attached. That is what steady trade-up supply into a five-knife pool looks like, and it is why this site prints dates.

The Falchion Case and the shared pool

The Falchion debuted in the Falchion Case in 2015, and that case's gold pool is Falchion-only — thirteen finishes of one shape. It then went into the Spectrum Case, Spectrum 2 Case, Operation Riptide Case and Dreams & Nightmares Case alongside the Huntsman, Butterfly, Bowie and Shadow Daggers, where every gold is a one-in-five roll for the shape.

Since 22 October 2025 those pools are also trade-up outputs. Five Covert skins from the Falchion Case guarantee a Falchion with a random finish; five from Spectrum or Riptide give a 20% chance of one — and an 80% chance of a Huntsman, Butterfly, Bowie or Shadow Daggers instead. Because the Falchion is the least-valued of those five, it absorbs the supply nobody wanted, which pins its floor. The same pool dynamic runs the other way for the Butterfly, and the Butterfly Knife file shows the top of it.

Falchion Knife Fade — CS2 knife render
Falchion Knife Fade: $185–230 Factory New on 9 Sep 2026, the cheapest 0–0.08 Fade on any shape with a real inspect animation.

Finishes and floats

Thirty-five entries in the community catalogue plus vanilla, the same roster as the Arms Deal five: Fade, Doppler in seven phases, Gamma Doppler in five, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Lore, Autotronic, Black Laminate, Slaughter, Damascus Steel, Ultraviolet, Crimson Web, Case Hardened, Bright Water, Freehand and the common finishes. Every one has a StatTrak variant.

Floats follow the standard pattern. Fade, Doppler, Gamma Doppler, Marble Fade and Tiger Tooth stop at 0.08, so the only wears are Factory New and Minimal Wear. Slaughter runs 0.01–0.26, Freehand to 0.48, Bright Water and Damascus to 0.50, Lore to 0.65, Autotronic to 0.85. The common finishes, Crimson Web, Night and Ultraviolet run 0.06–0.80; Case Hardened, Blue Steel, Stained and Black Laminate go 0–1.00; Rust Coat 0.40–1.00. On a blade this short, Marble Fade and Tiger Tooth read better than Fade because the pattern is denser.

The inspect, and why it sells the knife

The Falchion's inspect is a one-handed flip: the blade rotates out of the hand, turns once in the air and lands back in the grip with a catch, and it is the reason the shape has a following at all. The draw is a plain lift and the deploy has none of the Butterfly's hardware, so the inspect carries the whole performance. It is also why the Falchion trades so heavily — one third-party tracker counts more daily sales on it than on any shape except the Shadow Daggers — because it is the cheapest knife people buy to try owning a knife, then sell on when they upgrade.

That churn keeps its book deep and its spreads thin. 101 Fade listings on a $190 item is ten times the depth the Bayonet Fade had at $330 on the same date. If you are buying a Falchion as a first knife you are buying into the most liquid cheap market in the index, and the exit will be easy when the time comes.

Falchion or Huntsman

Falchion for the animation, Huntsman for the blade. The two share four cases and sat within $3 of each other at the floor on 9 September 2026 — Falchion $49–56, Huntsman $46–58 — and within $20 on their Fades. The Huntsman is a big, clean tanto that shows finishes well and inspects plainly; the Falchion is a short, curved blade with the flip-and-catch. Choose on which one you will be looking at, because the market has already priced them as equals. The Huntsman file makes the other case.

Where to buy a Falchion

Any of the cash markets, worn, and check the float filter so you land under 0.40 on a common finish. Fees on a $50 knife matter proportionally more: Skinport charges buyers nothing and sellers 8%, CSFloat charges sellers 2%, DMarket runs about 2% on liquid items, and Steam's 15% wallet-locked fee is the one to avoid. Cash: Skinport, CSFloat, DMarket, SkinBaron, white.market, Lis-Skins. Trading in: Tradeit, SkinSwap, Swap.gg, CS.TRADE. Some are affiliate links that may pay us a commission at no cost to you; none affect a band, and none is a case-opening site. Falchion Knife questions

How much is a Falchion Knife in CS2?

From $49–56 for a worn Safari Mesh on 9 September 2026 and $185–230 for a Factory New Fade. Other premium finishes were not read on that date.

Which cases have the Falchion Knife?

The Falchion Case (Falchion-only gold pool) plus the Spectrum, Spectrum 2, Operation Riptide and Dreams & Nightmares cases, where it shares a five-knife pool.

Is the Falchion Knife good?

It has the best inspect animation of any knife under $60 and one of the cheapest Fades in the game; the short blade shows finishes poorly and the shape has little resale prestige.

Why is the Falchion so cheap?

It is the least-valued shape in a five-knife pool that four cases and their trade-ups feed constantly, so it absorbs the supply that Butterfly and Huntsman buyers do not want.

Falchion or Huntsman?

Same price at the floor and within $20 on Fade. Falchion for the animation, Huntsman for the blade and the way finishes read on it.

Every knife type sits in one ranked table with dated bands in our index of all CS2 knives.
