Huntsman Knife in CS2: The Big Cheap Blade, Priced Per Wear (Sep 2026)

The Huntsman Knife cost $46–58 in a worn Safari Mesh on 9 September 2026 and $210–250 in a Factory New Fade, which makes it the twelfth shape of twenty by floor and the cheapest big blade in the game — a full tanto that displays a finish across more steel than anything else under $100. It has its own 2014 case, which since October 2025 guarantees the shape in a trade-up, and a shared pool that keeps its floor low.
Huntsman prices on the check-date
On 9 September 2026 a Field-Tested Huntsman Safari Mesh was listed from $46, Well-Worn from $49, Battle-Scarred from $50, Minimal Wear from $58 and Factory New from $298. The Fade was $210–250 in Factory New, ninety-day range $212–249 on 92 listings; its all-time high was $777 on 19 April 2023 and its all-time low $152 on 24 October 2025.
Like the Falchion, the Huntsman's floor fell through the summer with no news attached: a late-May 2026 roundup priced the cheapest Huntsman — a Battle-Scarred Scorched — at $70.76, and by September the mesh floor was $46, down 34% in fifteen weeks. Steady trade-up supply into a shared pool does that to the least-prestigious shapes in it.

The Huntsman Weapon Case and the guaranteed trade-up
The Huntsman debuted in the Huntsman Weapon Case in 2014, and that case's rare pool is thirteen Huntsman finishes and nothing else. Since 22 October 2025, five Covert skins from the Huntsman collection trade up into a Huntsman with a random finish — the shape is guaranteed, the finish is not, and the output wear is derived from the average input float mapped onto the finish's range.
Whether that is worth doing depends on the Covert prices on the day, which we do not track; the arithmetic is five inputs against a $46–58 worn floor and a $210–250 Fade, with roughly one finish in thirteen being the Fade. The other four cases — Spectrum, Spectrum 2, Operation Riptide, Dreams & Nightmares — put the Huntsman in a five-knife pool with the Butterfly, Falchion, Bowie and Shadow Daggers, where any gold is a one-in-five shape roll. The mechanics in full are in how the trade-up update changed CS2 knife prices.

Why the blade matters more than the animation here
Because the Huntsman's inspect is a slow turn and its draw is a plain raise, the price of the shape is almost entirely the blade. That is a bad deal for people who buy knives for the first-person theatre and a very good deal for people who buy knives to look at a finish: on a Huntsman a Fade, Tiger Tooth or Marble Fade covers a flat plane roughly the size of an M9's, for a shape premium of $46 instead of $259.
The Falchion is the mirror image — a short blade with a good animation at the same price — and the two share four cases and sat within $3 of each other at the floor on 9 September 2026. The Falchion file is the case for animation over surface; this one is the case for surface.

Finishes and floats
Thirty-five entries plus vanilla, the same roster as the Arms Deal five, each with a StatTrak variant: Fade, Doppler (Phase 1–4, Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl), Gamma Doppler (Phase 1–4, Emerald), Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Lore, Autotronic, Slaughter, Black Laminate, Damascus Steel, Bright Water, Freehand, Ultraviolet, Crimson Web, Case Hardened and the common finishes.
Floats are standard. Fade, Doppler, Gamma Doppler, Marble Fade and Tiger Tooth stop at 0.08 — Factory New or Minimal Wear only. Slaughter 0.01–0.26, Freehand to 0.48, Bright Water and Damascus to 0.50, Lore to 0.65, Autotronic to 0.85. Common finishes, Night, Ultraviolet and Crimson Web run 0.06–0.80; Case Hardened, Blue Steel, Stained and Black Laminate 0–1.00; Rust Coat 0.40–1.00. On a tanto, Slaughter and Crimson Web are the two pattern finishes that benefit most from the flat blade.
StatTrak, Slaughter and the collector corner
Two Huntsman markets sit above the floor and below the Fade. The first is StatTrak: the flat handle shows the counter clearly, and because five StatTrak Coverts can only trade up into StatTrak knives since October 2025, StatTrak Huntsman supply has grown and its premium over standard copies has narrowed. We read no StatTrak asks on the check-date and print none.
The second is Slaughter and Crimson Web, the two pattern finishes where the tanto's flat plane makes placement matter. A centred web or a full-diamond Slaughter on a Huntsman is a collector item on a $50 shape, and those copies trade on pattern index rather than wear. If you want a Huntsman to hold rather than to use, that corner is where the shape's only real appreciation potential lives; everywhere else it is a canvas, priced as one.
Where to buy a Huntsman
Worn on a common finish, clean on a float-capped one, from a cash market with a float filter. Skinport charges buyers nothing and sellers 8%; CSFloat 2% seller; DMarket about 2% on liquid items; Steam 15% and wallet-locked. Cash: Skinport, CSFloat, DMarket, SkinBaron, white.market, Lis-Skins. Trading in: Tradeit, SkinSwap, Swap.gg, CS.TRADE. Some are affiliate links that may pay us a commission at no cost to you; they never move a band, and none is a case-opening site. The Huntsman's place among the twenty shapes is in the full CS2 knife index, ranked by floor.
Huntsman Knife questions
How much is a Huntsman Knife in CS2?
From $46–58 for a worn Safari Mesh on 9 September 2026 and $210–250 for a Factory New Fade. Factory New mesh was $298 and is not worth it.
Which cases have the Huntsman Knife?
The Huntsman Weapon Case (Huntsman-only gold pool) plus Spectrum, Spectrum 2, Operation Riptide and Dreams & Nightmares, where it shares a five-knife pool.
Can you guarantee a Huntsman from a trade-up?
Yes: five Covert skins from the Huntsman Weapon Case collection produce a Huntsman with a random finish. The other four cases give one-in-five odds on the shape.
Is the Huntsman Knife worth it?
For a finish, yes — the wide tanto blade shows Fade, Tiger Tooth and Slaughter as well as an M9 does at a fraction of the shape price. For animation, no.
Huntsman or Falchion?
Same price at the floor, within $20 on Fade. Huntsman for the blade surface, Falchion for the inspect animation.
