What this site is

BladeIndex is an index of the 20 knife types in Counter-Strike 2, maintained from one desk. Each type gets a file: a floor band per wear, the headline finishes, the cases it drops from, its float ranges and its release era, with the date every figure was read printed beside it. The all-knives page is the index card drawer; the knife files are the cards.

We started it after the October 2025 trade-up update, when every knife price on the internet went stale in a weekend and most sites kept printing the old numbers. A static site cannot run a ticker, so we do the honest alternative: bands, dates and a re-check cadence.

How the numbers are made

Bands are read as the lowest ask across the major tracked marketplaces on a single check-date, per wear where wear matters, then rounded to a range rather than a false-precision decimal. Case pools, finish lists, float ranges and phases come from the community item catalogue rather than from memory. Where we could not read something on the check-date we say "not read" instead of estimating, and where a figure is a valuation rather than a sale — the seven-figure Karambit offers, for instance — we say that too.

Ranking uses one transparent rule: the worn Safari Mesh floor, which is the market's price for a knife's shape and animation before any finish premium. We show third-party liquidity tiers beside it so you can see where the two disagree.

What we will not do

We never review, rank, link or accept money from case-opening, case-battle or skin-betting sites. It is written here so it cannot quietly change. Monetisation is limited to established marketplaces and trade services, always through disclosed /go/ links, and no partner sees a band or a rank before you do.
