The Bayonet is the sixth-most-valued knife shape in CS2 and the cheapest of the five 2013 originals to own in a Fade: a worn Safari Mesh cost $107–117 on 9 September 2026 and a Factory New Fade $330–385. That is a third of the Flip Knife's floor premium over it and about a fifth of a Karambit Fade, for the knife that was in the game first.

What a Bayonet costs right now

On 9 September 2026 the Bayonet Safari Mesh ran $107 in Well-Worn, $111 in Field-Tested, $110 in Battle-Scarred, $117 in Minimal Wear and $307 in Factory New. The Fade was $330–385 with the seven-day range $333–338 — tight, but on ten listings, which is the thinnest Fade book we read on any knife. Its all-time high was $1,451 on 19 April 2023, its all-time low $265 on 24 October 2025.

That April 2023 date matters. Unlike the Karambit, Butterfly and M9, whose Fades peaked in May 2025, the Bayonet Fade had already spent two years drifting before the trade-up update took another third off it. The shape was losing the prestige race before Valve changed the supply, and the update finished the job.

Where the Bayonet sits among the originals

Sixth of twenty shapes by worn floor, and fourth of the five 2013 knives. The order on 9 September 2026 was Karambit $365–380, M9 Bayonet $259–276, Bayonet $107–117, Flip Knife $102–108, Gut Knife $40–43 — so the Bayonet edges the Flip on the floor while the Flip's Fade ($285–345) prices below the Bayonet's. The market rates the Bayonet's shape slightly more and its Fade slightly less, which is a reasonable summary of a knife whose long blade suits a Lore or a Doppler better than a Fade gradient.

Third-party liquidity data disagrees with the prestige order entirely. One tracker's tier list, weighted 40% liquidity, 40% daily sales and 20% stability, puts the Bayonet in its top band with the Butterfly and Falchion on 17,900 sales a day, above the Karambit and M9. Sales count is not desirability — cheap items turn over more — but it does mean a Bayonet is easy to sell. The CS2 knife tier list puts the two orderings side by side.

Bayonet Fade — CS2 knife render
Bayonet Fade: $330–385 Factory New on 9 Sep 2026 on ten listings. The cheapest Fade of the Arms Deal five.

Cases, finishes and floats

Every Arms Deal-pool case drops the Bayonet: the CS:GO Weapon Case, eSports 2013, Operation Bravo, Weapon Case 2, eSports 2013 Winter, Winter Offensive, Weapon Case 3, Operation Phoenix, eSports 2014 Summer, Operation Vanguard, Revolver, Chroma, Chroma 2, Chroma 3, Gamma and Gamma 2 — sixteen containers, pool shared with the Flip, Gut, Karambit and M9. Since 22 October 2025 five Covert skins from any of them can be traded up into that pool, which is where the new supply that reset the floor came from.

Thirty-five finish entries plus the vanilla knife. The float-capped finishes — Fade, Doppler, Gamma Doppler, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth at 0–0.08 — have no worn copies. Slaughter is 0.01–0.26, Lore reaches 0.65, Autotronic 0.85. The common finishes and Crimson Web run 0.06–0.80; Case Hardened, Blue Steel, Stained and Black Laminate 0–1.00; Rust Coat 0.40–1.00. StatTrak exists on all of them.

Shopping the Bayonet by float

Because the Bayonet's value sits in its long-blade finishes, the float number matters more than the wear label. A Lore at 0.60 and a Lore at 0.66 are both Well-Worn on the listing, but the second has visibly duller gold; a Slaughter at 0.02 and one at 0.25 are both in range, but only the first shows the full red gloss. On the check-date we read no Lore, Doppler or Marble Fade asks for this shape and print none, but the shopping rule is the same as on the M9: filter by float first, then by price, and treat the wear label as a rounding of the number you actually care about.

StatTrak adds little on a Bayonet. The counter sits on the ricasso, the shape carries no collector premium, and since October 2025 five StatTrak Coverts trade up only into StatTrak knives, which has kept StatTrak supply growing. A StatTrak Bayonet at a discount is a fair buy rather than a bargain, and a StatTrak premium is money spent on a number nobody else will read.

Should you buy a Bayonet

Yes if the brief is "original knife, real finish, least money", and the finish is Lore, Doppler or Marble Fade rather than Fade. The Bayonet's straight blade gives those finishes a long uninterrupted surface that the Flip and Gut cannot match, and the shape's low prestige keeps them cheaper than on the M9. Buy worn on anything with a float range past 0.26; the 2.9× Factory New premium on Safari Mesh buys nothing visible.

No if you will sell within a year and care about the exit. Ten Fade listings means a seller sets the price, not the market, and the shape's three-year slide predates the crash. Compare it with the Flip Knife file before deciding; the two are within $10 at the floor and the Flip's animation is the better one.

Where to buy

Cash markets with float filters: CSFloat (2% seller fee), Skinport (8% seller, 0% buyer), DMarket (about 2% on liquid items), SkinBaron, white.market, Lis-Skins. Trading skins in: Tradeit, SkinSwap, Swap.gg, CS.TRADE. Steam's own market takes 15% and cannot cash out. Some of these are affiliate links and may pay us a commission at no cost to you; they never change a band, and none is a case-opening site. The Bayonet's rank against every other shape is in all CS2 knives, ranked by floor.

Bayonet questions

How much is a Bayonet knife in CS2?

From $107–117 for a worn Safari Mesh on 9 September 2026 and $330–385 for a Factory New Fade. Other premium finishes were not read on that date.

Is the Bayonet a good knife?

It is the cheapest way into an Arms Deal knife with a serious finish, and its long blade suits Lore, Doppler and Marble Fade. It is not a good knife for showing off or for quick resale of its Fade.

Which cases have the Bayonet?

All sixteen Arms Deal-pool cases, from the CS:GO Weapon Case to Gamma 2, shared with the Flip, Gut, Karambit and M9.

Why is the Bayonet Fade so cheap?

Low prestige and a market that peaked in April 2023, two years before the other prestige Fades. The October 2025 trade-up update then cut it from around $400 to a $265 low.

Bayonet or Flip Knife?

Within $10 at the floor. The Flip has the better animation and a cheaper Fade; the Bayonet has the bigger blade and the deeper liquidity. Pick on animation.
